We are not trying to sell you a holiday but have a look at the Hotel Punta Islita in Costa Rica. There are a lot of remarkable things we can say about this hotel but let's just focus on their unique Islita Art Museum, the flagship of the hotel's responsible tourism model.
This innovative program pairs established Costa Rican artists with local counterparts, transforming Islita village into a living museum. Community art groups are led by museum curator and artist laurate, Loida Pretiz. The Islita Art Museum provides an open space where guests can visit studios, purchase signature pieces and enjoy local culture.

Through Secret Tours Hong Kong, we found out about the ladies of Home Dining HK.
Home Dining HK is a unique home dining experience for local expatriates and overseas visitors. We want to show the non-touristy side of Hong Kong through dining with our families.
Liz was lucky to be be part of the trial dinner. The evening was organised at Mr & Mrs Ho's home in Mei Foo and it was a mix of chit-chat, hands-on cooking and demonstrations of how to make some tradition dishes by the amazing chef Mr Ho!
The evening was a great success: we made pickled ginger, tasted new things like dried oysters and homemade plum wine and heard some amazing stories about Hong Kong. This truly delicious experience won't be forgotten in a long time.
The ladies from Home Dining Hong Kong are planning to set up more of these events. So keep an eye out. To know more about them, please visit their Facebook page.
To know more about Secret Tours HK, go to their website, their Facebook page or follow our blog as we will be talking about them very soon.
