Every city could do with a bit of needlework. Read the whole article in the My Modern Met.
Not everyone is preparing for a cozy Christmas at home, that's why this project from arthur+martha is so touching.
Poet Phil Davenport and artist Lois Blackburn have been working with homeless people in Manchester, telling their stories with needle and thread. The result is a big patchwork quilt and you can visit it at Manchester's Holden Gallery until 18 December.
This amazing project has brought together lots of different people and no doubt will have a ripple effect throughout Manchester. Along the way they have also gathered lots of stories which you can read on the blog.
arthur+martha is a great community interest company with some other amazing projects up their sleeve, check out their website and flickr account.
