A bit of magic on Monday morning.
Between March and November 2011, 10 enchanting paper sculptures appeared at different institutions in Edinburg. All artworks came with a message that included the line 'in support of libraries, books, words, ideas....'. Who the artist is no one knows.
The magic kept the whole of Scotland enthralled and the 'GiftED' exhibition that toured different places had an expected 50,000 visitors.
Now, according to the Year of Creative Scotland website, the mystery artist is back for Book Week Scotland (26 Nov - 2 Dec) with 5 new creations. All sculptures will be inspired by classic Scottish books and hidden in five secret places throughout Scotland.
Clues will be released on the Scottish Book Trust website. The first clue will be today at 9.00am GMT. The lucky finders will be rewarded with their own sculpture to keep.
The magic of art. We need it. It brings people together and makes us happy.
